OGDEN — After crashing in a stolen car, a man fired one gunshot before escaping in another stolen vehicle in Ogden Thursday night.

Police say nobody was hit by the round.

Individuals in a stolen car were driving down Tyler Avenue when they crashed into another vehicle traveling on 24th Street around 9 p.m. Once the cars stopped, one of the occupants in the stolen car got out and fired a gunshot, said Ogden Police Lt. John Cox.

It does not appear that he was aiming at anyone or that the bullet struck anything, Cox said.

Nobody in the car that was hit was injured in the crash or shooting.

The occupants of the stolen vehicle then left the scene in another stolen car that was following them, Cox said. Police were searching for them Thursday night.
