SALT LAKE CITY — Two drivers were killed in a crash in a rural area of Millard County on Tuesday.

About 5:30 p.m. on state Route 132 just outside of Leamington, a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder crossed over the center line and hit an oncoming 2014 Ford F-150 “nearly head-on,” according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The drivers of each vehicle, men in their 30s from Delta, were killed. Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to the UHP. The men, whose names were not immediately released pending notification of family members, were the only occupants of each vehicle.

UHP Lt. Nick Street said impairment was being investigated as a possible factor in the crash as methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription drugs were found in the Pathfinder.
