ROY — A 30-year-old teacher at Roy High School was arrested Wednesday for investigation of enticing and sexually exploiting a minor.
Brady Glenn Allen was booked into Davis County Jail on Wednesday night and was ordered to be held without bail, court documents show.
Layton police began investigating Allen in August as part of an undercover operation with the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force.
A detective portraying a 13-year-old child was contacted online by Allen, who asked for nude photos and wanted to arrange a meeting with the child for sex, according to a news release from Layton police.
Allen arrived at the meeting location on Wednesday and was identified by police. He was arrested later at his home and told police he was the man talking to the detective who was posing as a child, according to a jail affidavit.
Weber School District has been notified of Allen’s arrest, police said.
Allen was arrested for investigation of enticing a minor via the internet and sexual exploitation of a minor. As of Wednesday night, no charges had been filed against him.
State court records indicate Allen does not have a criminal past in Utah, aside from a handful of traffic violations.
According to the Roy High School website, Allen taught digital media in the visual arts department.
