ROY — Criminal charges were filed Friday against a Roy High School teacher accused of trying to solicit a child online.
The child was actually an undercover agent with the FBI Child Exploitation task force.
Brady Glenn Allen, 30, of North Ogden, is charged in 2nd District Court with enticing a minor by internet, a second-degree felony; and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, a third-degree felony.
On Aug. 20, Allen began chatting online with someone claiming to be a 13-year-old child, according to charging documents.
“(Allen) asked the officer for nude photos and traveled to Layton to meet the officer for sex,” the charges state.
Allen was arrested on Wednesday.
The Roy High School website lists Allen as a digital media teacher in the Visual Arts Department. As of Friday, his name remained on the website but his picture had been removed.
Weber School District spokesman Lane Findlay said Allen has been placed on administrative leave while the district conducts an internal investigation into the matter.
