SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority is warning customers some bus routes and TRAX service will be affected by Wednesday’s vice presidential debate at the University of Utah.
As of Tuesday, bus Route 2 will not service the northbound and southbound stops at the U.’s Presidents Circle. Regular stops will be available at Kennecott Building at the U. and 200 South and 1300 East.
Route 3 will use 1300 East between South Temple and 400 South in both directions. The stops on University Street will not be serviced. Regular stops will be available at Stadium Station, Virginia Street and 2nd Avenue (northbound), and Virginia Street and South Temple (southbound).
Route 6 will use Wolcott Street between South Temple and 100 South in both directions. The stops on University Street will not be serviced. Regular stops will be available at 1300 East and South Temple and at the Kennecott Building.
Route 11 will use Wolcott Street between South Temple and 100 South in both directions. The stops on University Street will not be serviced. Regular stops will be available at the Kennecott Building, Virginia St/2nd Ave (northbound), and Virginia St/South Temple (southbound).
Route 220 will use 1300 East between 400 South and 200 South in both directions. No stops will be serviced on University Street. Regular stops will be available at 200 South and 1300 East, 401 South and 1300 East (northbound), and 544 South and 1300 East (southbound.)
Route 902 will use 3rd Avenue between Wolcott Street and Virginia Street in both directions. No stops will be missed.
All of these detours on subject to change but should be in effect through Oct. 11.
The TRAX Red Line serving the university will have 10-15 minute delays due to the debate.
