South Salt Lake Mayor Cherie Wood helps Ida Brickley, 94, balance and walk on a suspended bridge on a Hedra Playground structure at the Ida and Laurie Brickley Park adjacent to the Columbus Center in South Salt Lake on Wednesday. Construction of the all abilities park was just completed and was named in honor of Ida and her daughter, Laurie, who have been volunteering at the Columbus Center Library three days a week for 13 years. The playground equipment is designed for all ages and accommodates those with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.
