SALT LAKE CITY — The deadline is today for the Deseret News’ annual Christmas writing contest, “Christmas I Remember Best.”
The Deseret News is asking readers to write original stories about their most memorable Christmas.
Multiple stories will be chosen for publication in the newspaper and on Deseret.com with the final story appearing on Christmas Day. These true-life stories should be original and no more than 800 words. The judges prefer stories that cover a wide range of Christmas experiences, including humor.

Send email entries to christmas@deseretnews.com or through this online form. The entries should include the author’s name, address, daytime and evening phone numbers and email address.
Submissions that are more than 800 words or that arrive after Monday, Dec. 14, will not be considered. Because of the number of participants, the Deseret News is unable to acknowledge receipt of individual submissions.
