OGDEN — The pilot of a small, private plane was injured after an emergency landing at the Ogden-Hinckley Airport Thursday afternoon.

“He has a successful take off,” said Ogden Deputy Fire Chief Shelby Willis of the pilot. “He has an in-flight emergency pretty quickly and decides to land, and as he lands, he slid off the runway and ends up in the field.”

The man was extricated from the plane, a Cirrus SR22, by rescue workers, and he was taken to a local hospital where he’s being treated for unknown injuries.
