TOOELE — A Tooele man was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting three underage girls over the course of a year at his home.
Alexis Morfin Ayala, 19, is charged in 3rd District Court with rape, object rape of a child, sodomy upon a child and two counts of rape of a child, all first-degree felonies.
The investigation began in February when detectives interviewed a 14-year old girl who said she had sex with Ayala, according to charging documents. Police said they found videos on the girl’s cellphone of the two having sex.
Prosecutors say days later, a 15-year-old girl told police Ayala raped her in May 2019 after the two smoked marijuana and drank alcohol at his home in Tooele.
A third girl told police a similar story at the Tooele Children’s Justice Center two days later. The girl, who was 13 at the time, said Ayala tied her up before sexually assaulting her in 2019, according to the charges.
She also told police Ayala sent her two videos of them having sex, court documents say. She was able to identify herself in both videos.
In addition to the five first-degree felonies, Ayala was also charged Wednesday with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony.
