MIDVALE — Police say a West Jordan man died two days after suffering critical injuries in a motorcycle crash in Midvale on Tuesday.

Matthew Boswell, 18, was riding his motorcycle near 7000 South and 700 West when he lost control and crashed. Witnesses said Boswell was accelerating fast without a helmet.

Unified police announced Thursday Boswell had died from his injuries.

According to Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray, Boswell had the motorcycle for one week before crashing it near the WinCo Foods outlet in Midvale.

Police said the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the accident and no other injuries were reported.
