The 120 citizenship candidates originate from 47 countries and come from nations as diverse as Afghanistan, Cameroon, Liberia, Romania and Uruguay. In fiscal year 2019, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalized 834,000 people, an 11-year high. Angela Perry, acting field office director of the agency in Utah, administered the oath of allegiance.
