EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Police on Wednesday identified the 10-year-old boy who was killed Tuesday afternoon after he collided with a tree while driving a small motorcycle.

Traygen Shane Johnson was driving the motorcycle on Golden Eagle Road in Eagle Mountain when he hit a curb and lost control, according to Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon.

About 12:35 p.m. emergency crews found Traygen, who was not breathing and had sustained “extensive” upper body injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to Cannon.

Family members set up a GoFundMe account Wednesday to help pay for funeral expenses. The account remembers Traygen as a “super sweet 10-year-old boy. His contagious smile went on for days. He loved playing and watching sports, baseball, basketball, etc. Traygen loved attending games of his beloved Utah Jazz. He could make friends with anyone.”
