Thanksgiving Point’s Tulip Festival was originally scheduled from April 10 to May 9, but was rescheduled as a virtual festival to slow the spread of COVID-19. This week, Thanksgiving Point, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, announced it would reopen for limited entry beginning Friday after Gov. Gary Herbert eased many of the restrictions put in place due to the pandemic. Tickets are available for reservation thanksgivingpoint.org. The Tulip Festival is one of the most popular events in Utah with more than 100,000 guests visiting in past years. The tulip display is created with bulbs imported directly from the Netherlands to create a new display each festival. This year’s festival includes the brand new Thanksgiving Point tulipa, a new variety of late-blooming, scented lily tulip.
