One dead in crash with UTA bus

KAYSVILLE — One person is dead following a crash between a car and a UTA bus.

The incident happened about 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at 135 South Main in Kaysville. A Utah Transit Authority bus was stopped at a pickup point when it was run into from behind by a car, said UTA spokesman Cary Arky.

It was a “high-impact collision with multiple patients injured,” according to a statement from the Kaysville Fire Department. The Kaysville Police Department, Davis County Sheriff's Office, Utah Highway Patrol and Farmington Fire Department also assisted with the incident.

The driver of the car was killed. “Two additional patients were transported to area hospitals after a vehicle extrication was performed,” according Kaysville Fire. Their conditions were not immediately released.
