WEST JORDAN — A driver died early Saturday after being thrown from his car in a four-vehicle crash on Redwood Road at 7800 South, police said.

Police arrived about 3 a.m. to find the man deceased, said West Jordan police officer Jennifer Worthen. The name of the driver, who was in his 20s, has not been released pending notification of kin.

Officers were still trying to piece together the cause of the crash late Saturday. The car belonging to the deceased man was found on the west side of the road, but it wasn’t clear which direction he was heading at the time, Worthen said. He had been traveling alone.

The driver of another car was brought to Intermountain Medical Center in an ambulance, Worthen said, after crews suspected he had broken ribs.

The driver of a third car had no injuries, and a fourth was parked and unoccupied when it was hit by the others, Worthen said.
