MURRAY — A man died late Saturday night after a rollover crash on I-215, troopers said.

The crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. when a westbound driver at 2000 East “appeared to be traveling too fast” at the on-ramp and lost control, the Utah Highway Patrol said in a statement.

The vehicle then traveled off the road, off an embankment and onto I-215.

“A witness on the scene stated that they saw the driver exit the vehicle and then collapsed in the lanes of travel,” troopers said.

The first trooper to arrive at the scene started performing CPR on the man, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
