Whitney Goeckeritz helps her son, Brighton Rogers, with his new soccer shoes at SavOn Sporting Goods in Ogden on Tuesday after Spencer Castle, assistant general manager of Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale, presented a $3,000 check to Justin Nakaishi, owner of SavOn Sporting Goods, for sports equipment for 12 members of a youth soccer team and nine members of a volleyball team. The shopping spree was part of the “We’re Hear for You” project, part of Ken Garff Automotive’s 42 Days of Giving to buy from local businesses and give back to local community members to help ease the burden of the COVID-19 pandemic.
