Protesters march on State Street during a rally on Monday denouncing the death of Bernardo Palacios-Carbajal, who was shot and killed by Salt Lake police in May. Family members and supporters of Palacios have been rallying nightly outside Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill’s office asking for answers about the shooting. Palacios-Carbajal was shot at least 20 times by officers responding to reports of an armed robbery after he didn’t follow multiple orders to stop. Gill’s office is currently reviewing the officers’ use of force.
