SALT LAKE CITY — A suspected neighborhood “nuisance” house in Salt Lake City was raided overnight, resulting in two arrests and the seizure of guns and drugs, according to the Utah Attorney General’s Office.

The attorney general’s Statewide Enforcement of Crimes by Undocumented Residents or SECURE strike force had been keeping surveillance on a house at 1344 W. 700 South for the past 90 days, according to a police affidavit. 

Neighbors had noticed constant, short-term traffic at or around the house over the past few months. The residence was known as a place for drug and weapons transactions, according to the attorney general’s office.

During their investigation, undercover officers reported being able to purchase guns and drugs from the house.

Raul Gambino Montreal, 42, was arrested for investigation of possession of a weapon by a restricted person, transaction of a weapon by a restricted person, drug distribution in a drug free zone and drug possession.

Juan Rios-Mandujano, 51, was arrested for investigation of two counts of drug possession with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a weapon by a restricted person and transaction of a weapon by a restricted person,

Two stolen handguns along with methamphetamine and suboxone were also seized by task force members from the house at the time of the arrests, according to the attorney general’s office.
