Fire crews work on a grass fire that started on the highway and threatened a neighborhood near I-1215 and 2500 East in Cottonwood Heights on Sunday. Though the fire burned some trailers and outbuildings, firefighters were able to protect homes in the area, said Unified fire spokesman Matthew McFarland. The fire shut down the freeway in the area while crews worked to contain it. No injuries were reported.
