Construction crews build a pedestrian bridge across I-15 in Orem on Thursday as crews prep the span to pour concrete for the walking surface. The work will close the freeway in both directions Saturday at 10:30 p.m. until Sunday at 10 a.m. The 1,000-foot bridge is a collaborative effort between the Utah Department of Transportation, Utah Valley University and the Utah Transit Authority, to provide a safe walking and biking route for students, faculty and others traveling between housing developments and the Orem FrontRunner Station west of the freeway and the UVU main campus east of I-15.
