Traffic flows through the two new roundabouts at the Jeremy Ranch exit on 1-80 in Summit County on Monday. The county, in coordination with the Utah Department of Transportation, constructed the roundabouts to optimize mobility and enhance safety for residents and commuters. Multiple studies found roundabouts to be the most effective long-term solution to address growth and traffic congestion at the interchange. The project, which began in spring 2019 and is now approaching completion, includes the two landscaped roundabouts; a grade-separated bicycle and pedestrian trail; three new pedestrian tunnels; pedestrian-activated crossings; a new transit park-and-ride lot; and lighting.
