Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow Daybell were indicted on murder charges Tuesday, specifically “two counts of first-degree murder” in connection with the deaths of Lori Vallow’s children, 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, according to the Deseret News.

Chad and Lori Daybell could face the death penalty. Per KSL-TV, prosecutors have 60 days to decide whether or not to pursue the death penalty.
Prosecutors alleged that Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell “used their religious beliefs to justify killing JJ, and to justify or encourage the death of his sister and Tammy Daybell,” according to the Deseret News.
