Former Utah GOP Rep. Mia Love has a new job.
The congresswoman turned CNN commentator has been tapped as a guest host on ABC’s “The View,” joining Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines for the show’s 25 season.
Love is one of several women guest hosts filling in for Megan McCain, the show’s prominent conservative voice who left in August. The rotating list includes former national security adviser Condoleezza Rice, 2016 GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and former Trump administration official Alyssa Farah.
“Really looking forward to kicking off a new season and honored to be a part of such an accomplished group,” Love tweeted Monday.
“The View,” which tackles politics and current events in a roundtable, discussion format, is the No. 1 daytime talk or news show for both households and total viewers, according to Yahoo News. The past season included guests like Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and celebrity scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Love, who currently resides in Saratoga Springs, was elected to Utah’s 4th Congressional District in 2015, and narrowly lost to former Congressman Ben McAdams in 2018 by less than 700 votes. In 2019 she was hired by CNN as a political commentator.
