COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — A fire Saturday evening in Cottonwood Heights caused extensive damage to a duplex, firefighters said.
The blaze was reported at 7:20 p.m. in the area of 6929 S. Promenade Drive. By the time crews extinguished it, one side of the two-story duplex suffered “substantial damage,” Unified firefighters said on Twitter. Vehicles were also damaged.
A photo of the home shared by the fire department showed the duplex’s charred side and broken windows.
No injuries were reported.

Crews remained on scene into Sunday afternoon make sure all hot spots were put out. Investigators and building inspectors were also working to determine the extent of damage and possible cause.
