Novelist Catherine Mann, wife of actor-turned-congressman Fred Grandy, has given birth to the couple's first child, a healthy girl.
Monica Mann Grandy was born Tuesday at the Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, D.C., weighing about 8 pounds, said Rich Myers, a spokesman for the freshman Iowa Republican who played Gopher on television's "Love Boat."
