SHARE 2 BOYS FACE TRIAL IN RELEASE OF PIT BULLS

Two 11-year old boys accused of unleashing pit bulls in a crowded schoolyard last week will be tried on assault and related charges in Family Court, police said Friday.

Police Capt. James Boyle said the boys will be tried on charges of aggravated and simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person and terroristic threats in the Dec. 15 incident in which five children were injured.Following a hearing in Family Court, the two boys were released into their parents' custody pending trial, Boyle said.
