Makee Blaisdell, 56, who played the character Johnny Lingo in the BYU movie of the same name, died Feb. 20, in Oxnard, Calif., of heart failure.

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Blaisdell began his career at BYU and later acted in such television shows as "Star Trek," "Wild, Wild West," "Big Valley," "Hawaiian Eye," "Ironsides" and "F-Troop," among others. He was BYU's actor of the year in the late 1950s and also performed in Shakesperean plays.
