A 19-year-old man was shot to death and a 17-year-old girl wounded in a gang-related scuffle as he stood in line to attend the gang movie "Colors," police said.

The movie about gang warfare, starring Robert Duval and Sean Penn, has prompted protests in California, especially in Los Angeles, which has been the scene of massive gang violence this year.Stockton police said the unidentified man was waiting in line on Sunday with his girlfriend, sister and brother-in-law when three men pulled up in a car, got out and began arguing with him.

At least one shot was fired, fatally wounding the victim in the head and injuring the female bystander.
