Mike Barrowman, Matt Cetlinski and Tracey McFarlane each set American records Thursday at the U.S. Olympic swimming trials to qualify for the Seoul Olympics.

Barrowman, of Rockville, Md., broke the American record in the 200-meter breaststroke in the preliminaries Thursday, then swam the same record time - 2 minutes, 13.74 seconds - in the finals.Cetlinski, of Lake Worth, Fla., won the 400 freestyle in American-record time of 3:48.06 at the University of Texas Swim Center.

And McFarlane, of Palm Springs, Calif., won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.91, breaking the American record of 1:09.53 set by Tracy Caulkins in 1981.
