Maguire was surfing Tuesday off Evans Head when the shark attacked. He and his friends told police that a school of dolphins chased the frenzied shark away and no doubt saved their lives. The 17-year-old surfer is recovering in the hospital after surgery for two severe injuries to his abdomen.
