A seminar on the business opportunities and tax implications of Europe's plans to eliminate economic boundaries will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31.
The half-day session, sponsored by the accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick, will be held at the University Park Hotel, beginning at 8 a.m.Francine Lamoriello, manager of the firm's international office in New York, will discuss a nationwide survey of executives on trade with Europe. She will also speak on 1992's impact on trade, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Other presentations will be made by Guy K. DeHart, vice president at Evans & Sutherland; Peter D. Meldrum, president of Native Plants Inc.; and John Lewis, director of WordPerfect's international division. These executives, whose companies conduct business in Europe, will share their plans on adapting to the new trade environment.
Stanley B. Parrish, director of the state's Department of Community and Economic Development, and Milton H. Thackeray, partner at KPMG Peat Marwick, will also participate in the seminar.
