Joshua was also honored by Salt Lake County Commissioner Tom Shimizu, who read a letter written by the commission to honor the hundreds of volunteers who stuck with the days-long search until the boy was found. "You refused to give up the search and your tenacity will long be remembered in this community . . . Miracles do happen, especially when the human spirit pitches in," he said.
