The talents of two amateur Richfield artists will be shown on billboard signs that will advertise Richfield near the access route exits and entries to I-70.
Alan K. Christensen and Christine Langston won first- and second-place honors in a contest sponsored by the city that drew some 25 entries. Christensen was awarded a $100 U.S. Savings Bond and Langston received $25.City Councilman James Foresey said the ideas on the artists' drawings will be used but may be changed somewhat on the final design for the billboards.
Reagan Outdoor Advertising in Salt Lake City judged contest entries. The agency will provide the billboards in return for approval by the City Council to place advertising signs near the interstate accesses.
