County officials have a gift for Alejandro Espinoza, a check for $6,388.81, his share of the reward for helping capture convicted "Night Stalker" killer Richard Ramirez.

The problem is that Espinoza helped capture Ramirez and then quietly slipped away."Nobody seems to know his whereabouts," Larry Monteilh, executive officer to the county Board of Supervisors, said recently.Monteilh said Espinoza filed a claim for his share of the $36,777 reward but failed to include his address. Others who helped capture Ramirez received their reward money earlier this week.
