Harold L. Miller, professor of psychology and associate dean of honors and general education, has been named dean of honors and general education programs at Brigham Young University.

Academic Vice President Stan L. Albrecht announced that Miller replaces dean J. R. Kearl, who left the position to become an associate academic vice president. Miller has asked Alan Keele, Neil Rasband and George Tate to continue as associate deans.Miller joined the faculty at BYU in 1975. He has served as chairman of the Experimental Psychology Committee, undergraduate coordinator of the psychology department, associate director of BYU Honors Program and director of the Experimental Laboratories at BYU.

He also has held many consulting positions with WICAT Education Institute and has done consulting for The Waterford School.
