The Monte L. Bean Museum is looking for volunteers during the holiday season to help extend the museum's hours.
Volunteers will be needed to help museum visitors from 5 to 9 p.m.The museum is displaying a special collection of temporarily donated nativity scenes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m on Mondays.
"With volunteer help, we hope to be able to extend the museum hours so that families may experience the exhibit between the hours of 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. every day," said Ted Whitmoyer, a museum spokesman.
The nativity exhibit includes three scriptural paintings created by Minerva K. Teichert, known for illustrations in the publications of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The nativity exhibit will be on display until the beginning of January. For more information call the information desk at 378-5051.
