A couple who became sweethearts through heart transplants will share their engagement with millions Tuesday night on national television.
Don Homrich, 28, used a moving billboard in New York's Times Square to propose to Terri Nelson on Sunday - to the glare of television cameras for Fox Broadcasting Co.'s "A Current Affair.""We're hoping that by letting everyone in on this it will help other people with heart disease," said Homrich, 28. "Some feel that life's over and we hope that through this it'll give people hope about the future."
The couple, who were featured on the show last month, had agreed to let camera crews in on their short trip to New York for a follow-up story. But Nelson, 30, said the proposal was a complete surprise.
"All of a sudden I looked up and saw the sign that said, "Terri, will you marry me?' When I got over the shock I said `yes,' " Nelson said in a telephone interview Monday.
