A 14-year-old skateboarder was in critical condition Friday at LDS Hospital following a Thursday night accident in which he was run over by a car.

Jeffrey Case was riding his skateboard about 10:19 p.m. near Third North and Center Street when he was hit."By all accounts, he was lying on his back going down the hill, went through the stop sign and the car ran over him," said Salt Lake Police Officer Jim Prior.
