Linda Kelm, internationally acclaimed soprano, will discuss "Operatic ABCs: Atypical Business Career" at Westminster College on May 17. This closing event of the 1988-89 Weldon J. Taylor Executive Lecture Series will be held in the Gore Building on campus at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome to this free event.

The Taylor series, now in its seventh season, focuses on current management issues relative to "Business, Society and the Individual."A native of Salt Lake City, Kelm began vocal training at Westminster College and received a number of awards and grants during her further vocal studies. She has been a favorite at the Seattle Opera's Ring festival, and debuted with the Metropolitan Opera as Brunnhilde in Wagner's "Siegfried." Her acclaimed Turandot has been seen at the Met in Central Park, New York City Opera, Hamburg and Berlin State Operas. Next season she will return to Berlin's Deutsch Oper, and will also sing with the Utah Symphony.
