Members of the Utah Iris Society will hold their 43rd annual iris show this coming weekend at the Layton Hills Mall. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. on May 20 and noon to 4 p.m on May 21.

Theme of this year's show is "Iris - Music to Our Eyes." Arrangements in the artistic category will center around this theme. Flowers also may be entered in the single specimens division.Show co-chairpersons are Randy Brown, president of the state society, and DeRay Taylor, a past president of the group.

Other officers of the Utah Iris Society, an affiliate of the American Iris Society, are Alan Toronto, first vice president; Charlotte Easter, second vice president; Larene Done, treasurer; Bonnie Woolley, secretary; and Bonnie Knudsen, parliamentarian.

Group directors are Taylor, Candy Thomas, Roger Keddington, Darlene Pinegar and Cathy Hagan Reed.

The show is approved by the American Iris Society and conducted according to its regulations. Judges accredited by the national organization will select the best flowers and exhibits and will award prizes to local entrants.
