The Davis County Democratic Party Committee is sponsoring a debate tonight on the proposal to turn the eastern portion of the Great Salt Lake into a freshwater reservoir through diking.
The debate will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the commission chambers at the Davis County Courthouse in Farmington. Speakers will be Al Regenthal and David Hemmingway.The 1989 Utah Legislature allocated $100,000 to study the proposal.
The debate will be preceded by a 6 p.m. party business meeting.
