An autopsy of Sacramento Kings forward Ricky Berry shows that his suicide apparently was not related to drug use, the Sacramento County corner's office reported.

Deputy coroner Bob Bowers said the autopsy and toxicology report released Tuesday showed "there was no indication of drugs" in Berry's system when the 24-year-old NBA player shot himself Aug. 14.Berry was "very clean, there was no evidence of drugs at all," Bowers said.

Police investigators said Berry killed himself about an hour after quarreling with his wife, who left their suburban Sacramento home following their middle-of-the-night dispute and returned hours later to discover the body.
