Two Salt Lake teenagers accused of murdering a West Valley man on State Street last May have pleaded not guilty.

Wilfred Vigil, 18, and John Matthew Denter, 17, entered their pleas before 3rd District Court Judge Raymond Uno, who scheduled a trial for Nov. 14.The youths are charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Jeffrey L. Thomas, 21, who was gunned down near 600 S. State about 1:20 a.m. on May 21.

Vigil and Denter are also accused of trying to murder two other bystanders, Shane Hermansen and Jeremy Malloy, who suffered gunshot wounds.
