LeRoy McKenna, 72, loving husband, father and grandfather died January 24, 1990 in Salt Lake City.
Born April 2, 1917, in Leadville, Colorado to Hugh James and Eliza Roberts McKenna. Married Dorothy Evermon, May 26, 1946, in Mattoon, Illinois. Served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Member First United Methodist Church. Worked as a miner and mining engineer all his life. Former member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers. Also member of the Triangle Club. Volunteered with Infant Hearing Assessment Program at LDS Hospital.Survived by wife, Salt Lake City; daughter, Carol McEntee and her husband, Michael, Salt Lake City; one grandson, Michael John McEntee II; sister, Ruby McKenna, Salida, Colorado. Preceded in death by son, James.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, 11 a.m., First United Methodist Church, 203 South 200 East. Friends may call Sunday evening, January 28, at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East First South, 7-8 p.m. Family suggests contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Foundation Fund in LeRoy's name or favorite charity.
