John Raymond Henderlider, 75, died early Friday, January 5, 1990 at Dixie Medical Center.

Born May 15, 1914 at Boise, Idaho to Ray and Gerda Hansen Henderlider. Married Virginia Barker, September 1, 1938 in Salt Lake City. She preceded him in death July 28, 1980. Married Melva Joy Hebdon, November 18, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Reared and educated in Boise, Idaho, Mr. Henderlider then moved to Salt Lake City, where he lived many years before coming to St. George in 1984. He was employed as a salesman for Salt Lake Hardware. Member Lutheran Church. He loved to fish and his hobby was antique trains. Since 1984, he and his wife, Melva Joy have been involved in the restoration of the Wells Fargo Bld. in Leeds, Utah.Survived by his wife, Melva Joy, St. George; mother, Gerda Hansen Henderlider, Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Sandra) Raleigh; Mrs. Monte (Sydney) Sanders, both Salt Lake City; step daughter, Mrs. Kathy Snow, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Van and Robert Henderlider, both Boise, Id.; Mrs. Mildred Stommel, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Graveside services Monday, 1 p.m., January, 8, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, SLC, with Interment to follow under direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
