Four new stakes have been created in Colorado, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico.
The Colorado Springs Colorado East Stake was created by Elder Neal A. Maxwell of the Council of the Twelve. The new stake is comprised of the Colorado Springs 3rd, 6th, 7th, 11th, and 15th wards, and the Calhan Branch.Elder Carlos A. Amado of the Seventy created the Guatemala City Guatemala El Molino Stake, which includes the Cipresales, El Molino, Guatemala 11th, Marti, and Sion wards, and the Durazno, Jocotales, and Quintanal branches.
Elder Amado also created the Toncontin Honduras Stake, which consists of the Comayaguela, La Pradera, La Vega, Morazan, and Zorrales wards, and the Monterrey, Nuevo Loarque, and Pedregal branches.
The Saltillo Mexico Miravalle Stake was created by Elder Robert E. Wells of the Seventy. The new stake includes the Guayulera, Lomas, Miravalle, Obregon, and Zarco wards.
Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Chile, Colorado, Georgia, Honduras, Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Peru, Taiwan and Utah.

Counselors - Hoyt William Brewster Jr., 52, director of Church Priesthood Department, former general board member of LDS Student Association, high councilor, bishop and counselor, married Judith Louise Thiede; Daniel Ray Parris, 52, vice president of grocery store chain, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, married Carol Ann Mannix.
