Our beloved father, Douglas J. MacCalman, age 78, died September 28, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born April 27, 1912 in Deer Lodge, Montana, son of James and Marion MacFarlane MacCalman. Married Ann Popovich who preceded him in death in 1980. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union for over 50 years. He also worked as a Job Corps instructor for Thiokol. He was an avid reader, enjoyed classical music, chess, and anthropology.Survived by five daughters and respective husbands, Elizabeth M. Hulsey of San Mateo, California; Catherine M. Lippincott of Fairbanks, Alaska; Mary M. Smith, Jeannie M. Bieber, and Janet M. Morris of Salt Lake City; 7 grandchildren, Zachary, David, Amy, Lisa, Angie, Emily and Nick; and a brother, Malcom MacCalman of Deer Lodge, Montana. He was a kind and gentle man, a wonderful father and grandfather with a great sense of humor. We shall miss him.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 2nd, at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
