Tevita U. Mapa, age 70, died December 2, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born August 30, 1920 in Tonga, an island group of the southwest Pacific. Married Kalolaine Vaka on May 14, 1949 in Tonga; later solemnized in the New Zealand LDS Temple.

REST} He is survived by his wife; children, Tevita Mapa, Finau, Vai, Siu, Mele, Vainiaku, and Maafu; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Hiliate, Piliopo, and Isileli; and sisters, Toeumu, Kaufusi, and Lita. Preceded in death by brothers, Tovi, Sioeli, and Penisimani.

Funeral services Saturday December 8th, 10 a.m., Harvard Ward Chapel, 1021 South 200 East. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Friday evening 7-9:30 p.m., and at the Ward on Saturday, 9-9:45 a.m. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
