Lewiston High School senior Bradley R. Thomasson has been convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in the Sept. 22 shooting deaths of his parents, Ray and Judith Thomasson.

The 2nd District Court jury in Lewiston deliberated for about 21/2 hours late Thursday before handing down its verdicts. The prosecution has said it will not seek the death penalty.Thomasson, who turns 18 in March, faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and could be sentenced to a fixed life term behind bars.

His parents were shot several times with a rifle. Thomasson admitted to police he shot his parents after an argument with his father over use of the family car.
